SERVICES
Kinesiology
Kinesiology is a gentle but powerful natural health therapy that is gaining an ever widening acceptance by the general public, many Health Funds now giving rebates for consultations with qualified practitioners.
Today, Kinesiology, or Applied Kinesiology (as it is known in some parts of the world), has been developed into many different streams. Coming from a common base these streams address a number of different issues and allow for great variation in the corrective practices followed.
The benefits of Kinesiology include:
- A non-invasive ways of helping your body
- Your body's own natural healing does the work
- Assists and complements other medical systems
- Kinesiology can relieve pain, stress, muscular and nervous disorders, detect allergies and nutritional deficiencies, assist with psychological and learning problems, stimulate energies and release untapped potential
As a Holistic Kinesiology Practitioner I have been trained to look at each client as an individual and work with all the different techniques and corrections that I have been taught.
It would not be unusual for elements from half a dozen or so different streams to be used in a single consultation. As an example, Flower Essences would come up in nearly every balance.
I have taken courses in a variety of Kinesiology modalities and Reiki, these include:
- Touch for Health: 1 to 4, Advanced and Instructor level
- Applied Physiology:
- - Holographic Muscle Monitoring
- - Can-Opener
- - Basket-Weaver

But Kinesiology does not stand still, so I am always doing more courses and workshops to keep up with the latest ideas and methods.
I work as a volunteer Kinesiology Practitioner one afternoon a week in the Cancer Support Unit of The Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth.
Reiki
Reiki is widely used by people all over the world for relaxation and healing. Most people know that Reiki comes from Japan. Reiki is a ‘hands-on’ form of healing that is often given with the client laying fully clothed on a massage table. Unlike massage however the hands are not moved over the body in flowing motions, but rather laid on the body in stillness.
The hands are used to transfer energy from the practitioner to the client. The practitioner receiving the energy from outside of themself. This energy is then passed to the client in such a way that they can then use it for whatever is the greatest need within their own body.
It is a bit hard to describe exactly what is experienced when one receives Reiki, it can vary on each occasion and also from person to person. But I think that generally one leaves feeling relaxed and often some aches and pains that one had earlier may have eased or disappeared. During the session one might have the sensation of great heat from the hands of the practitioner.
A full Reiki session may last about an hour.
Consultations can often be arranged within a few days of request. Training courses will depend on my current schedule.
QUALIFICATION DETAILS I have a Diploma in Health Sciences in Holistic Kinesiology, a Graduate Diploma in Business from Curtin University and a Certificate IV in Small Business Management. I am always doing further studies in Kinesiology and related fields it seems! Eventually I plan to follow this with the Advanced Diploma in Kinesiology and then a Bachelors Degree in Complementary Medicine.
I am a member of the Australian Kinesiology Association (AKA), the Australian Kinesiologic Medicine Society (AKMS) and the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS).
