About Me
As a registered nurse of many years I noticed that the caring nature of nursing was disappearing, with less physical contact between nurses and patients. To thrive, we all need the warmth and security that touch brings. With touch the basis of massage, I saw the many healing and therapeutic benefits that a massage can bring. The state of relaxation that massage induces can support both physical and emotional wellbeing. As a massage therapist, I am now able to assist clients through touch techniques which relax and calm the body and mind.
Remedial Massage
Remedial massage provides a healing treatment for the body, which can stimulate blood supply, eliminate waste products, calm the nervous system, and improve muscle and joint mobility. It can be gentle or strong, deep or shallow.
Aromatherapy Massage
The healing properties of the essential oils used in an aromatherapy massage, enhance the positive effects on the mind and body. An aromatherapy massage can assist the release of muscular tension, increase energy, calm the anxious mind, and awake a feeling of well being. What you hope to gain from the massage will govern the essential oils used. A personal blend of essential oils will be made for your treatment. Personalised aromatherapy creams, lotions and oils can also be prepared to suit your individual needs.
