Synergy Health and Wellbeing Centre was established in 2000 and has evolved from a Chiropractic, single practitioner clinic into a multidisciplinary, multimodal centre devoted to serving the health and wellbeing needs of the wider Fairfield / Liverpool regions. OUR SERVICES
CHIROPRACTIC
Chiropractic care can help anyone suffering from back and neck pain, joint pain, arthritis, headaches, pins and needles, shoulder, knee and hip problems. Chiropractors have also traditionally treated patients suffering from asthma, stress, digestive complaints, bedwetting in children, migraines and a host of other specific health complaints. We also assess and treat foot and posture problems through the use of mouldable orthotics, which are an excellent alternative to expensive podiatry orthotics.
Chiropractic care has withstood the test of time. Fears about the danger of chiropractic are unfounded. The statistics about the safety of chiropractic have been widely published. You are much more likely to end up in hospital from a reaction to panadol than to a chiropractic treatment. In fact statistics show that you are more likely to be hit by lightning or hit by a bus in your own driveway than suffer a catastrophic reaction to a chiropractic adjustment.
Unfortunately, up to 95% of medical doctors admitted in a recent survey that they know little or nothing about chiropractic. This ignorance is then transmitted to the general community, who often rely on their doctors for accurate information about their health needs. Your doctor or even specialist is the wrong person to talk to about chiropractic. We suggest that if you have any concerns about chiropractic or what it can do for you, to either call the clinic or drop in for a chat and a tour. One of our friendly and helpful staff will always be willing to assist with your enquiries and can arrange for you to speak with one of our practitioners.

MASSAGE THERAPY
Massage therapy has in recent decades evolved into an important part of many people's routine, helping them to work more productively, prevent muscle strain and fatigue and keep them feeling and performing to their best ability.
At our centre we employ several massage therapists of varying qualifications to provide a variety of skills and choices to our clients.
Some of the technique styles we have available at the centre include:
Remedial and Sports Massage. The most common type of muscle release technique practised in Australia. Firm but not too heavy with an emphasis on circulation and knot relief.
Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi Massage. An exotic and relaxing massage style fast becoming popular around the world.
Aromatherapy Massage. A gentle and soothing massage technique using individually tailored essential oil blends ideal for stress relief and pampering.
Swedish Massage. A vigorous body massage excellent for circulation, muscle tightness and stress but without the heaviness of other techniques.
Pregnancy / Maternity Massage. An extremely popular massage, utilising gentle techniques and oils that are safe for nursing mums and mums to be. Ideal for repairing stretch marks, healing varicose veins, swollen legs, sore back and aching thighs. Ideal for healing the physical and mental fatigue that comes with motherhood.
ACUPUNCTURE
Modern acupuncture utilises a variety of methods to stimulate energy channels and treat treat disease. We utilise sterile disposable needles to eliminate any chance of infection, but we also have electropuncture for those patients afraid of needles. Suction cups and magnet acupuncture are also used at the centre.
BEAUTY SERVICES
Womens waxing services - utilising top quality European imported hot wax. Quick and much less painful than conventional strip waxing. A very popular service at our centre. Enquire about our package deals!
Ear candling - an ancient healing art used by native american indians to treat blocked ears, stress and headaches. Very soothing and relaxing.
PRODUCTS
We produce our own unique range of 100% natural hand and body cremes, with pure essential oils and herbal extracts. Ideal for sensitive skin types or those who insist on natural, pure and organic body care.
We also produce delicious lip balms with pure essential oils that prevent chapping and cracking, while soothing and nourishing your lips.
A popular product is our premium essential oil epsom salt blend, which can be put into baths to help relieve tension, sooth tired, aching muscles, and promote wellbeing. Several formulations are available and are ideal for men and women.
About the Director
Allan Kalamir has been a chiropractor for over ten years, and has held successful practices both in Sydney and in Europe. He is a consultant lecturer in Temporomandibular (Jaw) orthopaedics and a senior staff member of the Chiropractic teaching faculty at Macquarie University, where he is currently also working on his PhD in Jaw problems. He is a member of the prestigious research association -the Macquarie Injury Management Group, and a long standing member of the Chiropractic and Osteopathic College of Australasia. He has published several articles in peer reviewed journals around the world, has been invited to lecture to colleagues at the university and internationally, been invited to hold presentations at international research conferences and is widely regarded as a national authority on the conservative chiropractic management of jaw problems. He works closely with many dentists, orthodontists and craniofacial surgeons and is truly a chiropractor that doctors recommend!
