Maria will ask you about your condition and many other areas of your health, past and present. She will also ask what you are hoping to achieve through treatment. With your information Maria will build a picture of how the condition you are now bothered by developed and from that she will tell you how you can overcome it.

BODYWORK
This Chinese form of physiotherapy involves massaging and manipulating soft tissue and joints. Maria may use cupping, warming, moxa laser or electroacupuncture.

ACUPUNCTURE
Maria will activate points in your body (with any of needles, laser, electrodes, cupping. Acupuncture relieves pain and also acts on the organs to alter their functions. By stimulating/promoting function, acupuncture treats fatigue, slow metabolism, delayed or scant menses, dull aches & pains, etc. By calming/dampening function, it treats migraines, acne, heavy bleeding, high blood pressure, some anxiety states, severe aches and pains, etc. By harmonizing functions it treats many hormonal disorders, many digestive disorders (diabetes, IBS) many gynecological complaints and disorders of pregnancy, etc

CHINESE HERBS
Sometimes the massage and acupuncture are not enough alone. Herbs will help you continue to improve between sessions. Maria will prescribe medicines in a form that best suits you. After a time you may be able to regulate your self with one or two formulas. OR you may learn to ward off seasonal disorders yourself.
