Imagine you are floating on a bed of warm water. You are about to experience a complete body massage – but you aren’t going to turn over even once! Lying on two warm water cushions, kept at a pleasurable 37 degrees, you remain face up throughout the entire treatment. Your whole body is supported in perfect spinal alignment. The usual disruption of turning over halfway through your treatment is avoided. The sensation of floating and the feeling of warmth envelops you…
The relaxing warmth of the Hydrotherm System promotes an immediate sensation of well being, enhancing the therapeutic effect of the massage. The gentle heat of the water helps to soothe painful areas allowing the Therapist to work more deeply with less discomfort for the client.
Through water displacement rather than through physically lifting the client, Hydrotherm permits the therapist to work using the client’s body weight as the source of pressure, facilitating a deeper, more holistic massage technique.

Kahuna Massage (lomi lomi Hawian)
Lomi Lomi Nui is an ancient Polynesian massage which was practiced by the Ka Hunas (Hawaiian shamans) to transform & completely balance all aspects of self to create harmony & flow in a person’s being, leaving a sense of a person’s true, unique self and effectiveness in the community.
In Hawaiian tradition this ancient wisdom was used during rites of passage such as puberty, loss of a loved one, or major personal transition to ease the individual gracefully through these times of change. Being deeply connected to Nature, Hawaiian kahunas would use dance, chanting and ritual with lomi lomi massage to inspire deep healing and restore health, thereby promoting a happy and balanced community with Aloha.
More than a massage, the ancient wisdom and Spirit of Aloha will guide, heal and inspire you towards your true potential. It is an experience that overwhelms the mind with sensation as the lomilomi therapist uses intuitive movement, breathing, rhythm and focussed intention in long, flowing strokes up, down, under and over the body. This sacred Hawaiian healing can produce powerful spiritual experiences and heightened states of awareness.

Bowen is safe to use on anyone, newborns to the elderly, with any condition from sports injuries to chronic or organic complaints.
A treatment comprises sequences of small gentle moves, each at a specific site on the body. No forceful manipulation, just a light cross-fibre movement of muscles, tendons or ligaments.
This gentle and effective modality brings substantial relief frequently after the first session, and generally clients only need two or three treatments, usually one week apart. Based on the principle that certain parts of the body reflect the whole. Reflex points, which relate to all parts of the body, can be found in the feet, hands and ears. These points respond to pressure, stimulating the body's own natural healing process. The body starts progressively clearing blockages, re-establishing energy flows and balancing itself, resulting in better health. There are many different styles and approaches used in reflexology, however the basic principle is constant. Subtle yet powerful, reflexology is becoming increasingly popular in the world of complementary therapies.

Neuro Structural Integration Technique - an Advanced Bowen Therapy.
NST is a gentle yet dynamic therapy which helps to restore normal structure and function by helping the body rebalance to its optimal healthy state of being.
NST/Bowen involves a series of cross fibre “moves” performed in various sequences over the body. There are waiting periods of 2 – 5 minutes between these moves which allows the body to integrate the new information and begin to unravel the neuro- muscular and visceral imbalances. The client experiences a deeply relaxed state, and is often surprised that such a gentle, minimalist technique can be so powerful and have such quick results!
NST is suitable for all ages from babies to the elderly and can help with various acute or chronic problems, aches and pains, and many sporting injures. It has great results with back problems, stiff neck and shoulder problems, headaches, occupational overuse injuries, feet, ankle, knee and hip pains, arm pains, sinus conditions and TMJ problems. Most clients report immediate improvement in their range of movement and reduced pain levels, as well as better sleep patterns and increased energy and sense of wellbeing.
You don’t have to be sick, injured or sore to have NST/Bowen, just the desire for a flexible, happy body!
A series of 3 treatments over a month is usually enough to restore the client to a state of comfort and flexibility with which they are very happy, however some chronic conditions may require more visits. Treatments are performed with the client wearing soft, loose clothing or underwear, as their body is completely covered with towels for warmth and modesty. The client lies face down for the first part of the treatment, then turns over onto their back. Many drift into a blissful sleep. Sessions last between 45 – 60 minutes.
Why not book your body in for an NST experience now …..you will be amazed!!!

What is Massage?
The systematic, & scientific manipulation of the soft tissues of the body.
It is performed directly upon the skin in a methodical manner for therapeutic purposes. Massage possesses the richest & most ancient heritage of all the healing arts. The earliest historic records show people instinctively touching & rubbing the body to relieve pain & discomfort. Over the centuries it has been referred to in history, literature, art & medicine, as one of the oldest forms of treatment for human ills. Hippocrates, the father of medicine, stated that ‘anyone wishing to study medicine must master the art of massage’.
Two famous European schools spearheaded the modern era of massage. Pehr Ling (1776-1839) at the Royal Gymnastic Central Institute in Stockholm developed a system of massage now recognised as Swedish massage. In Holland Dr Johann Metzger popularised a deeper form of massage as a scientific subject for physicians in the remedial treatment of disease. Modern massage therapy has been assisted by the accumulation of scientific evidence that both supports & explains the beneficial effects of massage. Predicability of results has made massage therapy a sophisticated & specialised tool in the treatment of muscle, tendon, ligament & joint injuries. General good health & increased wellbeing can be achieved, in part, by regular massage therapy.
Here are a few of the benefits of Massage:
- Detect muscle imbalances, tension & postural problems so they can be treated before injuries develop.
- Decreases stress & the many physical stress related problems of everyday life. For example, a relaxing massage has a sedating effect & can promote the return to normal sleep patterns. Great benefit obtained in targeting those body parts most susceptible to stress related tensions, such as the neck, shoulders & back.
- Decrease scar tissue & adhesions caused by injury & possibly prevent scarring.
- Stimulate blood flow, which increases the delivery of oxygen & nutrition to the body’s tissues.
- Stimulate the lymphatic system which eliminates harmful substances from the body.
- Combined with passive movement of joints, helps stretch connective tissue. This is important for injured muscles
- Increase your body awareness & leave you feeling great!!
