Membership of AUSTAT guarantees a professionally qualified teacher.
What is it?
The Alexander Technique is a natural method that can be learned by anyone interested in recovering the flexibility and physical coordination they enjoyed as children. Improve quality of movement, reduce levels of stress, boost performance.
The technique is taught through dialogue and gentle manual guidance. All that is required is a willingness to change.
Who is it for?
Many people begin studying the technique because they suffer from:
back, neck or limb pain
headaches
a lack of energy
an inability to concentrate
tension
anxiety or depression
Others are interested in improving their performance in skilled activities - musicians, sportspeople, teachers, doctors, dentists, and nurses. The technique is for people on the move - homemakers , pregnant women and fast-growing adolescents - or for those who sit at desks or work with computers.
