As her due date nears, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge has apparently opted for hypnobirthing to help with the delivery of her first child.
Royal watchers say the Duchess will use hypnobirthing to avoid the pain of childbirth, when she is admitted to London’s St Mary’s Hospital in July.
The natural birth will involve her being submerged in a birthing pool at the hospital, which is where Prince William was born.
Several magazines are reporting that Kate took time to research different birthing methods and found hypnobirthing to be a suitable natural option. She has apparently been devouring books and CDs on the technique to prepare herself for the birth.

The main premise of hypnobirthing is that a painful childbirth is often caused by anxiety and fear. By creating a peaceful environment and practising hypnotherapy, childbirth becomes more relaxing and enjoyable for mother and baby.
