Certification by the Council is by examination and is currently only available to persons who are registered as primary care practitioners by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and who pass the Council’s examination in clinical homoeopathy.

It is a prerequisite to enrolling to sit the homoeopathic examination to provide proof of registration as a:
- Medical Practitioner
- Chiropractor
- Osteopath
- Chinese Medicine Practitioner,
- Clinical Nurse Practitioner, or
- Physician Assistant working in General Practice
