Remedial Massage

Remedial massage is an effective tool to treat back and neck pain, muscular spasms, sciatica, frozen shoulder and arthritis. It is a manipulation of the soft tissues in the body to alleviate tension and pain. Remedial massage concentrates on the location, form of pain and the severity of the pain experienced. The ultimate objective is to relax muscles, enhance the mobility of the joints, and increase the range of motion. Remedial massage is effective when it comes to stress reduction, reduce blood pressure and enhance endorphin production. Remedial massage is designed to stimulate the intrinsic healing ability of the body.



Deep Tissue Massage

This method has been formulated to work the deeper aches and pains of the body removing chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and increased pressure across the grain of the muscles. Deep tissue massage utilises thumbs, elbows, knuckles and forearms to work on the deep layers of the muscle tissue.



Sports Massage

Sports Massage focuses on the muscle groups relevant to the particular sport, reduces the chance of injury, assisting in the natural repair of the sore, tense and painful muscles, enhances promotes greater athletic performance and endurance. Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Points are hyperirritable spots in the muscle fascia around the nerve receptors forming mainly in muscles which have been injured or overworked. To diffuse TP’s direct pressure is applied to the specific area. Releasing the TP’s effectively calms the nerves and eliminates any discomfort results. Trigger Point Massage is not considered a relaxing massage or form of treatment.
