Qigong Classes & Courses

Focus areas

Stress Management Posture Labour Relaxation Circulation Headaches

Qigong is the art and science of Chinese energy healing exercises that was developed by ancient masters and practiced in China for thousands of years for its effectiveness in increasing longevity, inner harmony, and both healing and preventing disease. Qigong uses movement, postures, breathing, self-massage, mental imagery and meditation to gather, circulate and store qi. Qigong cleanses and transforms impure and stagnant qi - the cause of disease - into pure healing energy. Qigong is suitable for beginners and more experienced alike. Regular practice of Qigong:

• increases energy levels, flexibility, balance and motor function
• improves circulation, digestion and respiratory function
• develops a strong centre, lightness of being and inner peace
• releases stress and tension
• increases awareness and mental clarity
• integrates body, mind, spirit
• assists body's innate self-healing powers
• helps prevent major and minor illness

Shibashi Qigong  |  Set 1 & 2

Shibashi Qigong is one of the most popular and widely practised forms of Qigong worldwide. It combines Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan with traditional Qigong movements into a gentle, flowing 18 movement Qigong form. Its effortless flow is a result of a deep cultivated inner relaxation. This encourages tensions held deep within the body’s tissues to unwind and release, thus harmonising and increasing the flow of Qi and strengthening body, mind and spirit.

We teach courses in Shibashi Set 1 & Set 2. Each course consists of a weekly class over the course of 7 weeks. The movements are easy to learn. To support your learning process a manual, wall chart and a video recording are provided. The course is designed to teach you the form so you can practice it at home on your own. Suitable for beginners and experienced alike. Spaces are limited and booking is essential, please call or email us for queries and to secure your place
