Study the Diploma in Ayurveda (HLT52615)

HLT52615 is the official code for the Australian Government Recognised Diploma Ayurveda Qualification.

Simply, if an Ayurveda Course doesn't have this code, then it is not suitable/acceptable for practising as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant.

Course Cost - $18,360.00. There is no fee subsidy and no government fee assistance.
Students must be able to meet the course costs, the required weekly study commitment of 18 hours, and 3 trips to Brisbane each year for supervised training and assessment

  • There is an 18 month period of delivery required, and no less, for the full qualification.
  • This intake is provided only for Australian Domestic students.
  • This Intake is NOT open to International students.
  • HLT52615 is a career focussed course for serious students, and consequently requires a firm weekly dedication to study commitment.
  • This program costs $18,360.00 in total (payments made through our monthly instalment payment plan).
  • The Ayurveda Course delivery is a blended delivery inclusive of online study (both live and ‘any-time’ access) and essential face-to-face training and assessment).
  • The Ayurveda Diploma HLT52615 qualification cannot be completed by online training only.

The Diploma Ayurveda qualification (HLT52615) provides the specific knowledge and skills needed to work as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant in Australia. Upon completion, you can offer Ayurvedic health assessments and remedial treatments including Ayurvedic Massage, Shirodhara Therapy, Kati Basti Treatment, Ayurvedic Herbal Medicine, Ayurvedic Food Therapy, Ayurvedic Clinical Meditation.

Common Unit Competencies’ are also studied in the course to provide additional skills and knowledge required to operate and maintain a business, successfully, and comply with National Guidelines pertaining to Workplace Health and Safety, Access and Equity, Managing the spread of infection, etc.

Prerequisite study: Diploma applicants do not need to have completed any other qualifications to be eligible for enrolment. Students with experience or qualifications/attainments in other Ayurvedic study courses or health modalities may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Transfer of Credits (T.O.C) where applicable.

About Professor, Dr. S. Ajit B.A.M.S, P.C.A.S (senior lecturer for AIAS) 

Dr. S. Ajit, B.A.M.S, P.C.A.S, graduated ‘Ayurvedacharya’ with a 6-year degree at the University of Patiala. He served the Government of India as a senior Ayurvedic Medical Doctor for 20 years. 

In 1996 Dr. Ajit relocated to Auckland, New Zealand, and since that time has served his students in New Zealand and Australia and transformed the lives of many patients.

He created Australasia's best equipped Ayurvedic Centre (Planet Ayurveda) offering Ayurveda’s most profound purification and rejuvenation program, known as Panchakarma. His dream to bring authentic Ayurveda to the West became a reality with the establishment of The Australasian Institute of Ayurvedic Studies in 1999. 

As a testament to his dedication and commitment to Ayurveda, Dr. S Ajit has won an International Award from India. He received the Hakim Ajmal Khan Global Award for best Ayurvedic Physician 2007, recently been appointed to the steering committee of the International Ayurveda Alliance (established by the Government of India Department of AYUSH), and appears at National and International Ayurveda Conferences, including World Ayurveda Congresses and was invited by India’s AYUSH ministry to be involved in the WHO documentation for benchmarks for the Practice of Ayurveda and Panchakarma.
