About AKA

As a governing body for the kinesiology industry in Australia, the Australian Kinesiology Association was established in 1986. 

The AKA is a single-modality, non-profit organisation that represents the professional and personal interests of kinesiology practitioners and instructors.

AKA sets and maintains standards for the kinesiology industry in Australia, catering specifically to the needs of kinesiologists.

All revenues generated by the organisation are used to grow and support its members.

Membership Levels
  • Registered Kinesiology Intermediate Practitioner (Level 4) - requires 375 hours of study
  • Registered Kinesiology Professional Practitioner (Level 5) - requires HLT 52415 Diploma in Kinesiology or 1000 hours of study
  • Registered Advanced Kinesiology Practitioner (Level 6) - requires 1950 hours of study
