REMEDIAL MASSAGE

All of my clients benefit from the regular treatment of Remedial Massage, a treatment specifically prescribed to the clients own individual needs.

I am trained to use specific techniques to stretch and lengthen connective tissue and muscles, reduce pain and discomfort, bringing about a sense of relaxation and increased mobility to my client.

Remedial Massage improves circulation and stretches the ligaments and tendons, keeping them subtle and young. Remedial Massage also stimulates the skin and nervous system. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress management. It also has specific clinical advantages to assist in a medical, rehabilitation or remedial therapy program.

One of the immediate benefits of a Remedial Massage is a feeling of deep relaxation and calm. This occurs because the massage prompts the release of Endorphins, the brain chemicals (neuro-transmitters) that produce feelings of wellbeing. Levels of stress hormones such as Adrenalin, Cortisol and Norepinephrine it can also boost the immune system.

Remedial Massage is greatly beneficial and can reduce symptoms by relaxing the tension in the muscles, stimulating the flow of blood through the muscles, breaking down and eliminating toxins, enhancing oxygenation of the brain and relaxing the nervous system and mind.

I also work on any trigger points which develop in a muscle as a result of stresses such as poor posture, repetitive actions, emotional trauma, and can refer pain and create dysfunction in other parts of the body, especially severe headaches or migraines

DRY NEEDLING

Dry needling can be used on its own or combined with any other modality to ensure you receive the most benefit from your treatment at All Body Care.

DNT can relieve a range of musculoskeletal problems through the insertion of needles into taut and contracted muscles, or trigger points, with the aim of restoring their proper functions. It is relaxing and therapeutic procedure that can form part of an ongoing programme of treatment, and is suitable for conditions such as back and neck pain, sporting injuries, and discomfort caused by poor posture.

The process of dry needling involves a solid filament needle being gently inserted into the painful part of the muscle (the trigger point) so as to relax or release it, with the aim of permanently reducing the associated pain and discomfort and restoring the imbalances caused by the muscle feeling taut and contracted.
