MAKE WELLNESS YOUR GOAL

Were all interested in leading active, fit lives. However, as we age, we tend to move less and become more susceptible to a number of ailments.

The practice of Yoga aims to unite the mind, body and the spirit. Yoga comprises four main components - physical postures, breathing techniques, meditation and relaxation practices.

Benefits range from increased muscle tone, balance, strength and lung capacity, to improved mood and peaceful sleep.

Annes classes comprise light and gentle postures, deep relaxation, breathing practices and finish with meditation.

Why not join us? By attending regularly you will become flexible, focussed and relaxed. Enjoy having more energy and vitality!

Workplace Yoga

One Hour Lessons Available For Groups To Suit Your Work Day.

I come to Workplaces and Teach a 75 minute yoga/relaxation/meditation class, for interested staff. Workplace stress relief is a major benefit, along with mind and body rejuvination. Staff can return to work energised, relaxed and focussed, without needing to have a shower. It is a gentle form of exercise, including mind / body stress relief techniques, and is suitable for ALL AGES and levels of FITNESS.

The staff I teach say that it helps with stress relief of aches, pains, mental tension and fatigue. They say it helps to provide a happier, healthier workplace and seems to increase staff morale. It is fantastic for people who work at computers or for people who do interactive people work. Staff increase their energy levels, maintenance lengthens life.

Commercial law firm Thompson Playford have introduced yoga classes at their workplace to help their staff cope with the stress of managing people. Chief Executive, Brett Goodridge says, "Our staff are our most valued asset, so helping to maintain their health and wellbeing is a responsibility the firm takes very seriously. Personal wellbeing impacts on motivation, morale, efficiency levels, and we want to ensure our staff and partners succeed in all these areas. Taking time out to care for health is important given the significant percentage of life spent at work."
(Advertiser newspaper 18.1.2007)

I normally start with four lessons, once a week, and each workplace decides if they wish it to become ongoing. The investment in stress relief per staff member is $60.00 (four lessons)

Lessons can be made up later if people are absent on a particular week, because each lesson is complete within itself. People can join the class at any point in time, to begin. Each class is always at beginner level. I find it useful to have one contact person who e-mails each staff member, with the proposal and the list of benefits (on the back of my brochure, which I will post out to you). That person then collects names of interested staff.

A minimum group size is 3 people. The maximum group size depends on the size of the room. (People need to be able to lie down). A carpeted room is best, but not essential. People can bring their own yoga mat, or a towel.
