My mission is to help you improve your wellbeing using the best natural care available, with a high level of integrity and respect for both your healing process and you the individual. I believe that wholistic health care, is not truly wholistic, unless healing is made available to the mind, body and spirit and have on offer over 25 years clinical experience in modalities ranging from acupuncture, nutrition and structural balancing, to life coaching, energy healing and 'Find Yourself' programs conducted out in Nature.
The healing techniques of Acupuncture and Chinese medicine, like most traditional therapeutic approaches are founded on the principle that internal harmony is essential for good health. In order to experience this harmony, balance has to be obtained in five key areas: body, mind, spirit, social and our environment. The holistic medicine practised at Nature Therapies can help you find balance in all these areas.

True Holistic Health Management
True holistic health care may is difficult to achieve if only narrow aspects of health or disease are examined. Modern medicine's scientific approach often compartmentalises disease states, and sometimes patients, at the expense of a broader view which can often contain vital clues to the puzzle of regaining full health.
Traditional Natural medicine offers time-honoured natural therapies that are effective at providing not only many health solutions, but also a template for living and maintaining a healthy life.
True Holistic Health however, becomes possible when each of the five major components of health are considered in relation to your presenting symptoms. Human health reaches full potential when there is harmony in the body, mind, spirit, social, and environmental areas. Nature Therapies practitioner Terry Hitzke has over 25 years of accumulated knowledge and experience in a diverse array of modalities that can address each of these aspects if required. Musculoskeletal Disorders and Sporting Injuries
Nature Therapies offers exceptionally effective treatment using multi-modalities for musculoskeletal and sporting injuries. Developed over a lifetime of personal sports involvement and 25 years of full-time practice, many difficult, chronic and long-term problems have found successful outcomes from the combination of treatments available.
The effectiveness of this service comes from the ability to take a truly wholistic view of your injury or pain. This means that apart from having an in-depth look at the physical and bio-mechanical components of your discomfort, I then look for contributing factors that can come from poor nutrition, postural habits, training programme, work demands, mental outlook, inflammatory profile, pH and state of detoxification.
The information gleaned from this investigation helps to uncover hidden blocks to healing that may be stalling the healing of a persistent injury or causing it to recur. I have come to honour the principle that "The body will heal itself, if we can remove any obstacles and let it do its job." I find that it is often these contributing factors that block healing and keep the body from returning to its pain free normal state.
If you have chronic long-term problems or a recurring injuries that are not getting any better, then you have come to the right place. I have a passion for helping resolve issues are have produced long term suffering. It may take a little more time to understand all of these factors, but once the underlying causes can be identified and corrected, then the overlying symptoms and pain can be significantly reduced, and in many cases completely alleviated.
This is an individually customised process, and a full hour is made available for initial consultations and up to an hour for subsequent treatments is required. The aim is to provide effective, fast and permanent relief and not just treat the symptoms.
Nature Therapies also offers:
Bio-mechanical and Structural Assessment
Running Style Assessment
Athlete Performance Enhancement programs
Athlete Performance Enhancement
This specialty is complemented by 25 years experience in musculoskeletal and sports injuries management, but goes much further to provide athletes young and old the opportunity to perform at their best.
Performance Enhancement is not just about things that help us go faster, longer and stronger, but starts with identifying factors that might limit peak performance. These factors include poor biomechanics, muscle and joint imbalances, inflexibility, inefficient style, pH, poor nutrition and lifestyle habits.
Many athletes have made significant improvements in their performances simply by understanding and addressing their individual performance limiting factors.
Improving performance then, is about bringing athletic bodies to peak health and athletic minds to an understanding of how to get the best from their bodies through attaining balance.
Services Include: Sports Acupuncture, Sports Massage, Sports Nutrition (including advanced race nutrition) Biomechanical and Structural Assessment, Video Running Style Assessment, Live Blood and Cellular Health Analysis, pH testing, Detoxification and Healthy Attitudes for Sporting Minds.

The Gap is a western suburb of Brisbane on the north side of the river. Coming from Brisbane city head out along Waterworks Rd and pass through Ashgrove and Ashgrove West shopping centres and follow Waterworks Rd a further 4km passing the Gap Village Shopping Centre on your left. Another 600 m brings you to the lights at the major intersection with Settlement Rd to the right and Illowra St to the left.
Turn left into Illowra Street and follow it across the bridge to the T intersection with Payne Rd and turn right. Moggill Rd is the third turn left at the crest of the hill after passing D'Aguilar and Glen roads.
78 Moggill Rd is 600 m along on your left hand side diagonally opposite the second entrance to Parkside Cr. The house is set on an angle to the block. Walk up the driveway (drive up if you are disabled and park in the parking bays halfway) and to your left you will see a table and chair. Please press the buzzer firmly, take a seat, enjoy the view and greet you when I am finished with my previous patient.
