Back2Health's practitioners are qualified and experienced in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Your consultation will involve a comprehensive discussion about your symptoms, then a pulse and tongue diagnosis to identify where any energetic imbalances, blockages or weaknesses are occurring.

The aim of your treatment is to identify and respond to the underlying cause of your condition. We do this by placing fine needles into points along your energy lines or 'meridians', stimulating the flow of Qi (energy) and bringing your body back into balance. Once your presenting condition successfully managed, we focus on dealing with any subsequent imbalances that arise and the maintenance of your health in the long-term. Most people find Acupuncture relaxing and are amazed that the insertion of the needles is so gentle.

Acupuncture has the following benefits:
  • Clearing of energy blocks in the body
  • A reduction of pain and inflammation
  • An improvement of blood and nerve supply to the body's tissues
  • An increase in the body's endorphin (“feel-good” chemicals) levels
  • A feeling of mental clarity occurs
  • Relief of stress and anxiety
  • The body relaxes.
Depending on your presenting condition, your Acupuncture treatment may include the prescribing of Chinese herbal medicines, dietary advice, cupping and other treatments.
