About Belinda

Belinda Brooks – an End of Life Doula - brings compassion, knowledge and experience; to empower those seeking to navigate what can seem overwhelming choices around end of life decisions.

Offering non-medical, non-legal, non-judgemental support, education, and resources, Belinda can facilitate healthy discussions and assist manage practical aspects about the wellbeing of you and your loved ones.

Whether exploring your current situation in an initial fee based consultation, or incorporating packaged doula services as an ongoing part of your overall care strategy, (including companion care, complementary therapies, planning and vigilling), Belinda strives to be your advocate, liaison and coach as you negotiate this medical, legal and family dynamically challenging time.

When facing end of life, Belinda will assist you to find the answers and possibilities right for you – whilst honouring death and embracing every breath of life.



Complementary Therapies

Your wellbeing is always the priority, and while the medical professionals assist to comfort the body, health is multifaceted and also incorporates emotional and spiritual aspects.

At all times, we seek to increase ability to cope during crises and the capacity to handle stress and problems. The goal is to have you feel relaxed, comforted, secure and well. All sessions can be provided at Belinda's studio (full disabled access), or if mobility is an issue, in the clients home or place of care.

REIKI

A Japanese spiritual technique, Reiki has been used to reduce stress, promote relaxation and can assist the feeling of wellbeing. This hands-on practice applies gentle, comforting touch, with the fully clothed client either laying down or comfortably seated. An hour of mindful peace.

MEDITATION

Finding a place of calm can be difficult when we are faced with challenges. Taking time out can help us to centre and connect with that quiet place inside. Working one-on-one or with a small group of supportive family and friends, a guided meditation can calm and bring clarity to your day.

ART FOR HEALING AND EXPRESSION

Art holds the power to express emotions and transport us with colour and mark making. Whether you are seeking a fun, play-filled session, or a chance to work on your technique, a day in the studio will free your inner artist!

Other alternate complementary therapies (such as massage) can be arranged and added as part of your management plan.
