Master NLP Practitioner and Clinical Hypnotherapist (Dip) Beverley de la Harpe has completed extensive training over the last 20 years with globally-renowned trainers the likes of Gary de Rodriguez and Michael Yapko. She has also undertaken studies with Stephen Gilligan, (one of Milton Erickson’s students); Bob Bodenhamer, Michael Hall, and Rick Collingwood, one of Australia's greatest advocates for hypnotherapy.
Beverley's philosophy has its foundations in the idea that all behaviour is driven by unconscious impulses - neurological triggers. The triggers, be they negative or positive are situated within beliefs that we act on when triggered by certain situations. The aim of NLP is to ascertain what the triggers that prompt us to respond or think in a certain way. When we have an understanding of what our triggers are, we can use them to transmute and find resolution for negative thought patterns and beliefs. This then allows us to turn anxieties, fears or negative behaviours into positive ideas and beliefs, so that we're able to move on and lead richer lives.
The processes Beverley uses are quick, efficient, informative and non-invasive. When combined with hypnotherapy, a natural feeling of empowerment and ability to feel present is facilitated, allowing the client the confidence to move forward with workable, useful insights about themselves.
Beverley is a passionate and enthusiastic practitioner and she combines this vivacious energy with an extensive, varied education and practical experience. Beverley runs a busy practice, conveniently situated South of the river, off the Canning Highway.
Beverley's clients come from of all walks of life and age groups. Her specific areas of expertise are in the areas of motivation, anger management, depression, learning difficulties, bulimia, weight loss and smoking. She also works with couples, providing counselling and conflict resolution.
Beverley is a Clinical Member, Training Co-ordinator and Accredited Supervisor with the Australian Hypnotherapy Association (AHA), as well as a member and Supervisor of the Professional Hypnotists of WA (PHWA); American Board of Hypnotherapy and an accredited Time Line Therapist and Extended DISC® Consultant.
Prior to her current path, Beverley worked in the corporate realms as an executive assistant; which she found largely unsatisfying. This role did however, pave the way for her studies and she was eventually able to embrace her calling.
