Telehealth Clinic & Video Appointments

Consultations Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic

In light of the COVID-19 safety measures and guidelines on social distancing, Bronwen Kendall, Physiotherapist in Brisbane QLD, continues to provide face-to-face consultations on a case-by-case basis from either City Cave or the Gap. Bronwen also provides online consultations through a reliable video platform.

Protocol for Clinic Appointments

To ensure everybody's protection and hers as well, Bronwen sticks to the following protocol prior to an in-person appointment:

  • A client should have been well for the last 14 days
  • Travel history during the past 14 days
  • Client's temperature
  • Client must advise her if they fall ill two weeks following an appointment
  • Sanitation of all surfaces that people touch, including EFTPOS paypass or bank transfer
  • Replacement of hand towel and pillow between appointments and avoiding the use of the face hole if there is another option
  • Setting gaps between appointments
  • No more multitasking. She either treats you first or works on her computer.
  • Access to alcohol or hand sanitiser

Video Appointments

Using the tools she has at hand, Bronwen intends to replicate the hands-on therapy which she performs at her clinic through the following steps:

  1. She will base her assessment on how you look.
  2. Through screen sharing, she will show you which areas of your body to touch to relieve your pain.
  3. Then she’s going to take you through a specific, mindfulness process that will allow your body’s nervous system to make the necessary changes to improve your condition.

Bronwen has received a lot of positive feedback regarding the manner in which she conducts her video consultations. Many of her clients who have tried it say it has improved their mobility. Plus, it helped them develop a deeper understanding of their own bodies.

You may also seek Bronwen’s assistance in conducting a home office ergonomics review, home exercise program review, and a whole lot more.

FAQs About Video Consultations

What is required for a video consultation?

You need a laptop, phone or tablet and a stable internet connection. If possible, go for a device with a larger screen to get better image sharing results.

What platform do you use?

We use CorePlus Telehealth. Prior to your consultation, you will receive your login details through email and text. This platform is private, secure and compliant with Australia's digital health regulations. In addition, it doesn’t take up a lot of internet bandwidth during video streaming.

How do I book an appointment?

To book a face-to-face appointment or a video consultation, call or email us.

What should I wear to my consultation?

We recommend loose, breathable clothes that allow you to move comfortably and your movement to be easily detected. Women are advised to pair a top with a pair of trousers or shorts rather than wear a dress, to reveal more information about the movement of their torso, spine, core, knee, foot and ankle.

What is the recommended depth in my room?

The space in your room should be enough for Bronwen to see you from different angles while you’re standing, bending forward and backward, walking and laying down.

Will our online consultation be recorded?

No. Unless you requested a specific part of the consultation to be recorded, say, an exercise that was demonstrated to you, no recording will take place

How do I pay for my consultation?

We implement a contactless payment method. You may pay either by card at the end of your appointment or by bank transfer.
