About Chelsea

From 2002 to 2008 she trained as an Iyengar Yoga teacher with Tony Rothberg and Glenn Ceresoli in Melbourne, and in 2006 studied with Prashant  and Geeta Iyengar in Pune, India.

Whilst maintaining her daily personal practice, Chelsea took a break from teaching before having her two children, and was called back to formal Yoga studies in 2015 when she came to the Moksha Academy of Yoga, studying with the inspiring  Emma Palmer.

She is committed to emotional, intellectual and spiritual growth and has found  Yoga to be the perfect conduit as her lifelong spiritual practice.

She believes that ‘unity’ (with 'self', and 'others') is the art of life, and is available to us at every moment - in everything we think, feel, say and do.

Chelsea feels Yoga (union) is the individual art of consciously cultivating the ability to practice consistent intelligent awareness, coupled with non-identification, which provides the basis for an inner connection to the divine source of truth and wisdom.

When we have a greater alignment to the divine truth that flows through us it  can act as our compass for wisdom and purpose in all that we do, on and (most importantly) off, the mat.

Chelsea believes that fostering an improving ability, for union within oneself, supports a greater unity in our broader  Community - with Ahimsa (kindness, compassion, love, understanding, non-harm) and Satya (truth) as our guiding principles.

Her classes are founded on the knowledge she gratefully received through all of her teachings and teachers and humbly seeks to pass this on, through the vehicle of her own unique form.
