Child'Space Abilities Awareness Method
The Child’Space Method guides and supports babies and parents from birth to independent walking utilising gentle hands-on innovative techniques. Contemporary research has proven that psychological and cognitive development is influenced profoundly by early experiences. The ways infants perceive, process and organise information specifically affects the development of their movement skills and the way they are able to relate to their environment.
Neuroplasticity, the brain’s ability to organise and then re-organise its pathways that are based on new experiences, are now able to be observed as a result of advances in technology and supports the practice of the Child’Space Method.
How does it work?
Child’Space emphasises the importance of stimulating all of the biological systems in the critical development period from birth to independent walking. Having parents being actively involved in this process is fundamental to the method and is a key factor in its success.
Child’Space creates a new connection between child and parent, by facilitating instructive tough, face to face interactions and guided movements that support healthy and developmentally challenged babies’ motor, sensory, cognitive and socio-emotional development.
Through Child’Space parents will learn how to foster an environment of active movement exploration for their baby. They assist the baby in transitioning to meet the next developmental milestone at the child’s own pace, which will promote curiosity that pushes babies in the direction of physical growth and learning.
Who can benefit?
