Antenatal Pregnancy and Womens Health Pilates Classes
City Physiotherapy Women’s Health - Antenatal Pilates classes will provide you with safe exercise to help you throughout your pregnancy and get you ready for birth. Keeping strong with Pilates whilst Pregnant will help your body recover from the birthing process more rapidly.
Some of the more common pregnancy related pains that women experience are low back pain, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, sacroiliac joint pain, a weak pelvic floor and loss of bladder and or bowel control. As your posture changes due to the growth of your baby you may experience some of these pregnancy related pains and issues. Our Physiotherapists will help you overcome and manage your body and the changes that it is undergoing as you move though your pregnancy and after the birth of your child.
The Antenatal Pregnancy Womens’ health Pilates class is based on low impact strength and flexibility movement to assist you to develop stronger core muscles. We are often asked when should I begin this Pilates class? The answer is the sooner you start the sooner you will be able to see and feel the results of your exercise efforts. The more time your body has to prepare for birth the stronger it will become. This class is also suitable for post pregnancy recovery.
