Stress activates a part of your brain called the Hypothalamus which is a sentinel of alarm. ( It is a bit like a sentry during war time who raises the alarm when danger is perceived. ) Under stress your Hypothalamus sends a signal to your Adrenal Glands that are located in your lower back. They react by producing a number of substances, one of which is cortisol. However, over time if your stress levels remain too high for too long, your adrenal glands suffer ADRENAL FATIGUE AND YOUR CORTISOL LEVELS DROP.

It is then difficult to maintain adequate blood sugar levels and so you can begin to suffer from some or all of the following:


  • Allergies

  • Back Pain

  • Blood Pressure Variations

  • Blood Sugar Problems/ Diabetes

These drinks might give someone a transitory boost but in the long term they are not helping the problem one bit.

People with cortisol problems sometimes discover that the consumption of fat will lead to more sustained energy but in today’s hurried world, people eat the wrong fats like ‘fast food.’ FAST FOOD WILL MAKE YOU SICK, FAST!
