Welcome to Correct Personal Training and Corrective exercise

Melbourne's premier personal training and corporate health and fitness specialists, promoting health and happiness in Australia through expert training and world class care.

We're a unique team of individuals combining a broad range of qualifications and technical expertise with infectious enthusiasm and a love of life. It may start with a 60 minute personal training or corporate fitness training session but our relationship with clients goes way beyond this. We strive to care for, to connect with and educate clients to be a force for positive change.

Personal Training

Correct personal training bridges the gap between health professionals, sports coaches and fitness trainers. Training the Correct way, both safely and intelligently, ensures you'll achieve your goals in the shortest time possible and, because you're educated and supported along the way, you'll maintain them for life.

Correct personal training, which draws on vast experience in human movement, functional strength training, weight loss coaching and corrective exercise, is customized to suit you, your desired lifestyle and your specific health and fitness goals.

As a result clients at Correct consistently look and feel better and, more than this, they're aware of the improvements in strength and fitness in their daily lives, not just in the gym.

Corrective Exercise

Corrective Exercise is a form of exercise that brings the body back into a perfect postural position, which is how the body was designed to perform at its optimum level. Over time we tend to pick up bad habits such as slouching, leaning or even sitting incorrectly at a desk, which are all contributors to bad posture and muscular imbalance.

Functional Strength Training

Being functionally fit and strong doesn't mean moving from one gym apparatus to another, work out after work out, it means linking your entire body as a cohesive unit in movement patterns that build strength and stability and enable you to reach optimal condition for your lifestyle.

Whether it's reaching your peak performance as an elite athlete, being able to run, jump or throw further, getting out onto the golf course, lifting your children or grand children easily and freely, or just hopping out of bed each morning looking and feeling great, functional strength training enables you to become as fit and strong as you need to be.

Weight loss Coaching

Sustainable, long term weight loss is not simply about diet and it's not simply about exercise. It isn't even only about these two things combined.

Australian's are starting to come to terms with the fact that losing weight and maintaining a healthy weight range can be the hardest thing they'll ever have to do, which is why getting the right mix of expertise and support in nutrition, health and exercise is vital to anyone's weight loss journey. Correct personal trainers have years of experience motivating clients to stay on track and meet their weight loss goals.

Pre and Post Natal training

At Correct we take a very safe approach to a healthy and active pregnancy. There are many anatomical, physiological and biomechanical changes that occur during the three phases of pregnancy as well as post natally. At Correct personal training it's our aim to guide you through these changes and help you maintain a good level of fitness and overall wellbeing.

Remedial Massage

Remedial massage is probably the most popular form of massage therapy in Australia and focuses on the treatment of soft tissue injuries, aching muscles and postural imbalances using a variety of techniques.

When overworked muscles become tight, knotted or damaged, remedial massage can provide a healing treatment that can be gentle or deep and can be used to treat a number of conditions. If you're suffering from a sore back, stiff neck or tension headaches, a remedial massage will help provide the relief you require.

At Correct, remedial massage and trigger pointing is incorporated into your personal training so you get the right balance of fitness training and remedial or corrective therapy.

Sports Massage

Sports massage, which was originally designed to prepare athletes' bodies for optimal performance, to recover after a big event, or to function well during training, emphasizes the prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons.

The technique generally concentrates on a specific problem area, for example the neck and shoulders, and is a wonderful treatment for anyone with chronic pain, injury or range of motion issues. Remedial massage techniques can also be incorporated into a sports massage for those suffering from sporting injuries.

Correct personal trainers have considerable hands on experience working with sports teams such as AFL clubs, cricket clubs, rugby teams and other elite sports teams, all requiring expert sports massage, which is of course available to all Correct personal training clients.

Active Release Technique (ART)

ART is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART. These conditions all have one important thing in common: they're often a result of overused muscles.
