How Does It Work?
Before Deb performs yoga therapy on you, she’s going to have you fill out a questionnaire with information about your medical history, medications or complementary therapies which you may be receiving, sleep pattern, digestion problems and other relevant information.
She will then discuss your diet and lifestyle habits, present circumstances, availability for yoga therapy and your expectations from the practice. Then she will assess your vital signs, such as your breathing and pulse, before discussing her approach in relation to your goals.
Deb provides a safe, confidential and professional space where you can tell her your worries, concerns and goals. In the initial phase of the therapy, Deb will recommend a simple yoga and meditation practice for you to do at home. After 7 or 10 days, she will ask you to return to her office so that she can assess your health and decide whether or not you need to undergo additional yoga therapy sessions.
