Meet Dr. Patrick J. Shwaluk

Patrick J. Shwaluk, a Chiropractic Doctor, completed 10 years of University and College studies at Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario in 1987. After graduation, he spent 3 years practicing in Canada, 2 years at Rockhampton, 10 years at Charters Towers and 4 years in Cleveland. In 2007, he started the practice in Capalaba. Since 1990, he has been a prominent member of the Australian Chiropractors' Association.

He also became a Licensed Chiropractic Sports Physician in 1993. The criteria pertaining to the continuing instructions of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Chiropractors Registration Board and the Chiropractors Association of Australia were regularly met by Patrick. It all requires healthy, well-educated, efficient spinal and extremity treatment.

The facts and the knowledge validated influence his professional judgments. He is well equipped to listen to his patients and perform a thorough examination of his patient-centered work. He understands what they need and creates a healthy, gentle and efficient care program to meet their needs. Because patients are responsive to a variety of personal considerations, effective management includes informing/educating patients and respecting their interests. It's not only their pain that we're taking care of but also the person himself.

Over the years, Patrick has been active in professional ice hockey, soccer and beach volleyball as a player, mentor, and teacher. The Argentinean Tango is currently Patrick's favorite form of practice. He has an appreciation of first hand and a particular interest in the dynamics and physiology of top dance and sports and their injury processes. He realises that most people require more than adaptation or manipulation. Sometimes they need and are given soft tissue treatment, preparation and recovery activities.

His research focuses on work repair and stress management. The clinic applied a variety of therapies like Western Acupuncture, kinesiological taping, ultrasound or fitness therapy in addition to chiropractic manipulation. The technique includes various sizes of contoured latex pillows for restful sleep, a lumbar that promotes the relaxation of discomfort when you sit and the use of state-of-the-art Foot Leveler electronic device, Spinal Pelvic Stabilizer, to help with orthotics in your feet and back while standing.
