Who is Angus Chard?
Dr Angus Chard, PhD, is a second-generation qualified Sports Podiatrist (Fellow of the Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine) with over 26 years of clinical experience. Dr Chard’s PhD in Pediatric Clinical Biomechanics was confirmed by the University of Sydney in 2018. His research was based on the biomechanical effects, specialising in children's three-dimensional foot dynamics, of supportive and supportless footwear during gait.
Dr Chard has gained recognition from his peers for his research and has given podium lectures and workshops at the International Biomechanics Association (Brussels, Belgium 2011), the International Foot and Ankle Biomechanics Symposium (Sydney, Australia 2013) as well as in the International Biomechanics Society of Sports (Poitiers, France 2015).
He has developed and implemented a protocol to evaluate the performance of athletics, coaching and training, to find essential lower-limb and foot biomechanical qualities to identify athletic performance traits and work out programs in collaboration with the athletes at increased risk.
Dr Chard has continued his research interest as a founding member of the 'New South Wales Sport High School's Talent Development Project’ at the University of Sydney to contribute proof of lower limb and foot fitness.
Dr Chard is a Faculty of Health Science Honorable Associate at the University of Sydney, where he contributes to the instruction of the program in the area of clinical biomechanics.
The Little Blue House was built by Dr Chard, which opened in autumn 16 years ago. Providing treatments for foot and leg pain sufferers. Dr Chard's guidance is to be proud of the cost-effective treatment provided for conservative management of acute and chronic foot and leg musculoskeletal conditions, which are known by the Team of the Dural Podiatry & Podiatry Centre.
