How many times have you had a treatment (eg Massage) and left with the did I just have something done feeling?

Eastwood Myotherapy - Myotherapy & Massage

Whether it be a Myotherapy or Massage session, we guarantee you will know that you have had what you paid for.

When leaving our clinic you will feel satisfied, encouraged, informed and in much better shape physically than when you arrived. Most conditions/injuries need as little as 3-4 sessions to feel significantly improved.

Unless you have a genetic disorder, congenital/progressive illness (eg rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, diabetes) or significant history of trauma (eg severed nerve/tendon/ligament, crush injuries) there is generally no reason to be continually attending therapy sessions. Our aim is to return you to optimal health in the minimum period of time. We also strongly believe in injury prevention and self management

What is the difference between Myotherapy and Massage

A common question. Many will say its the same thing it is not.

Myotherapy is Muscle Therapy and we specialise in the muscular system and conditions that affect it, soft tissue and joint disorders. We use many modalities as outlined below to assess, treat and manage your condition. Myotherapists are skilled in palpation of the tissues of the body, can thoroughly assess the problem and give the most effective treatment.
Massage therapy is generally less intense and utilised more as a tension release/increase blood flow in muscles, fascia and joints.

Techniques Myotherapists use:

Trigger point therapy, Deep tissue massage, Muscle/fascia release and manipulation, Joint mobilisation, Tens therapy, APS Therapy, Stretching, Heat, Cold, Taping, Kinesiotaping, Dry Needling, Cupping, Exercise therapy.

Sessions can be quite intense and are therefore often shorter than massage sessions.

Our Massage therapists specialise in the areas of Sports Massage, Remedial Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Infant Massage. Relaxation massage can be offered subject to availability.
