Raindrop Technique: Reflexology, Massage & Aromatherapy
This ancient Tibetan version of reflexology and massage techniques focuses on the back, neck and reflex points of the feet offers an opportunity to melt into a deep state of relaxation and inner connection. The Raindrop Technique is performed in silence, as the relaxing effects of the essential oils are applied to your spine and tired muscles. The oils are then “feathered in” using a spine-tingling technique inspired by the Native Americans, combined with massage. The Raindrop Technique takes pampering to the next level!
We use 100% pure, therapeutic grade essential oils, with no chemical adulterations. Owing to the penetrability of the essential oils, it’s possible during your first few Raindrop Techniques to experience a mild to moderate detox response.
Raindrop Technique can be performed on both people and animals, it can be used as a standalone treatment or as a complement to other modalities, including Massage (all forms), Reflexology, Bowen Technique, Shiatsu, Chiropractic and Physiotherapy.
Raindrop Technique is so-named due to the art of dripping unadulterated, therapeutic-grade essential oils onto the body from a height (like rain), so that the oils not only work on the physical body, but also the energy field. Raindrop Technique was inspired by the Native American belief that raindrops falling from a height may purify and cleanse the body and spirit. Because the essential oils easily penetrate the skin and muscles, the technique works on deep levels of the body without requiring hard pressure or force.
The Raindrop Technique was developed by essential oil researcher and Naturopath D. Gary Young following research that showed many forms of spinal misalignment are caused by muscle spasms and inflammation-producing bacteria and viruses that reside along the spine.
