Learn how to regulate the bodies’ flow of energy (Qi) to balance the functions of the body and mind with Acupuncture. FEE-HELP available.
Acupuncture is a branch of Chinese medicine that stimulates special points on the body in order to regulate the flow of Qi (vital force) to balance the functions of the body, mind and spirit and restore health. Traditional Chinese Medicine, practiced alongside Acupuncture, uses Chinese herbs and traditional medicines to stimulate and strengthen healing mechanisms and restore balance. Using Chinese medical theory of yin and yang, excess and deficiency, external and internal pathogenic factors and biomedical concepts, acupuncturists develop a medical hypothesis (diagnosis) regarding the specific pathology at work and its underlying cause. Based on the diagnosis, acupuncture points are then chosen to correct the pathology and they are stimulated with fine needles, heat, gentle electrical simulation, laser, suction or physical pressure, depending on the needs of the patient.
This four year full time (or equivalent part-time) course provides graduates with the knowledge and skills to become successful acupuncture practitioners. As well as foundation studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the course includes appropriate Western medical sciences, interpersonal skills, research methodology, in-depth studies of clinical acupuncture, and elective units on topics of special interest. The Endeavour College of Natural Health Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) degree is recognised by the national Chinese Medicine Registration Board (CMRB). Check with the registration board for more details.
Endeavour is now taking enrolments on our Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney campuses.
