Bowen Therapy Session
Canberra, Griffith & Deakin ACT
A Bowen Therapy session involves light pressure, rolling movements performed over the muscles and connective tissues. The technique is a type of myofascial release, that addresses not only the musculoskeletal framework, but also the fascia (Click Here) which surrounds muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerves and internal organs. It is a safe and gentle technique that can be applied to individuals of all ages – from newborn babies to the elderly. Bowen Therapy can address a wide range of issues – from sporting injuries to other chronic conditions, often in a remarkably short time. About 80% of patients only require between one and four sessions. However, with chronic conditions, or where repeated injury or emotional trauma are involved, a longer series of sessions may be necessary. Bowen treatments can result in recovery from a wide range of conditions, whether acute (recently acquired) or chronic (long term). Very often, conditions which have not responded well to medical or other treatments will respond to Bowen.
The Bowen technique could be considered for:
Back pain and sciatica
Digestive and bowel problems including IBS
Earache, ear infections and migraines
Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome
Knee, ankle and foot problems
Menstrual and hormonal irregularities and fertility treatments
