With the guidance of a holistic counsellor, you’ll find yourself navigating through life with much ease.
Essential Holistic Counselling is like no other counselling centre in Mount Gravatt QLD as we provide a client-centred service & Christian counselling. Joanne embraces a diverse range of therapies to understand every layer that makes up the uniqueness of an individual.
As a holistic counsellor for individuals, families, couples and children, she believes that utilising more tools than settling for a limited set will enable her to instigate change in more clients. A certain modality may be suitable to one person’s situation, but may not help another because of their different circumstances.
By exploiting all the resources at her disposal, Joanne allows her clients to go all the way through the process of psychological and emotional healing.
However, before that can happen, Joanne says she must first view a person from a holistic perspective. This means looking at how an individual functions within a three-fold dimension, which consists of the following:
She firmly believes that empathy, sincerity and having the ability to understand others at a deep level are important qualities that should be innate to a therapist as these couldn’t be learnt.
During a therapy session, Joanne always looks at a client’s past in order to understand their present situation and the underlying causes of their problem. She says this is a crucial step in guiding a person to a brighter future.
We provide individual, family and marriage counselling from Monday to Friday. We accommodate evening therapy sessions from Monday to Friday only.
You may opt for online counselling too, which Joanne conducts via Skype. Kindly have the app installed on your computer, or laptop, alongside a working webcam. We specialise in the following mental health issues:
We also provide children’s therapy, especially for the following issues:
Everything you share will remain within the confines of our clinic as we extremely value our clients’ privacy and confidentiality. During therapy, you may be asked about sensitive topics regarding your marriage or family to further the treatment process, but this can only be carried out upon your written consent.
