Loretta Brook holds a Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice from Nature Care College, St Leonards and is a qualified relaxation massage therapist and remedial massage therapist. She is currently completing a Diploma of Remedial Massage at Karuna College, Wollongong.
In addition to practising massage, Loretta is trained in manual lymphatic drainage, Chinese cupping, pre-operative and post-operative rehabilitation massage, remedial massage and relaxation massage.
She is a Reiki Master in the Usui Natural Healing Tradition, and is qualified to give Reiki treatments and teach Reiki at Levels 1, 2 and Reiki Master.
She is also a qualified practitioner in Prime Tuning balances.

Loretta is a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society Limited (ATMS Ltd), Association of Remedial Masseurs Incorporated (ARM Inc.) and Australian Reiki Connection Incorporated (ARC Inc.).

Remedial Massage
Deep massage which relieves tight muscles, especially in the legs, lower back, upper back, neck and shoulders. Benefits of remedial massage include relaxation, relieving pain and headaches due to tight muscles, lengthening and relaxing tight or contracted muscles to gain a better range of movement, and improved general well being.
Relaxation Massage
A lighter massage which generally assists in providing relaxation and wellbeing to reduce tension and anxiety by calming the nervous system.
Pre-operative and Post-operative Rehabilitation Massage
Targets specific injuries and is performed pre-operatively and post-operatively. Pre-operatively it clears fluid around the injury site, releases spasm and tight tissue and improves tissue function above and below the area to be operated on. Post-operative massage assists in facilitating recovery time and healing by improving blood flow and oxygen levels around the site, thereby reducing fluid retention.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Gentle, non-invasive, ‘wave like’ hand techniques that assist the body to cleanse, stimulate and reactivate the lymphatic system, which is essentially the body’s garbage disposal system and part of the immune system. Factors such as stress, tiredness, illness, chemical overload, food additives, trauma surgery and inactivity can have adverse affects on the lymphatic system, creating fluid retention and sluggish and stagnant conditions that can develop into further health complications.
Chinese Cupping
Treats muscle tears, spasms, strains, scarred or fibrotic tissue. Used in soft tissue conditions in conjunction with remedial massage, it is believed to have originated in China and is found in the earliest written Chinese medicine records. The area is first warmed up with massage to soften the tissue and then plastic cups of various sizes are applied to the area. The cups are then pumped with a pressure valve to suction the tissue, lifting it into the cup. This vertical stretch pulls congested blood to the surface of the skin, clears inflammation, oxygenates the area and allows fresh blood flow to circulate, thereby promoting healing. As Chinese cupping more often than not results in bruising, the area is always iced after cupping to facilitate the reduction of inflammation and help clear any bruising.
Reiki
Reiki is a hands on healing method which directs universal energy through the aura to where relief is needed, whether on a physical, emotional or spiritual level. Hands may be applied directly on the client or can be held above the client depending on their preference. Reiki has no affinity to any religious belief or doctrine. It can help us make a positive shift towards bettering any life situation. Examples of these include breaking the cycle of being in the same unhappy circumstances or being unable to maintain a healthy lifestyle or weight loss. Reiki brings comfort and relaxation and is suitable for all ages and conditions. It may also be sent to an individual by distance healing.
Prime Tuning Balance
A hands on energetic form of healing which utilises muscle testing to identify problems and provide stress releases, helping to rebalance and correct the body at a cellular level. Stress releases are sent by the practitioner through cupped hands placed at the back of the client’s head. Prime Tuning has no affinity to any religious belief or doctrine. It can increase energy levels, alleviate health problems, improve relationships, relieve pain, open skills and talents, provide insight into career paths and help you take control of business issues. Prime Tuning is suitable for all ages and conditions and can be sent by surrogacy to provide distance healing to an individual far away.
