About Evolution Exercise Physiology

At Evolution Exercise Physiology, we are continually helping clients achieve their goals as quickly, safely and effectively as possible. The path to achieving these goals is different for every individual.

As an Allied Health Company , we consistently improve people’s lives from many different aspects through an integrated approach. We have Accredited Clinical Exercise Physiologists, Exercise Scientists and Dieticians that provide treatment to the highest standard. With ongoing skills training and professional development as a large part of our culture, our team are always practicing the most proven evidence based treatment methods.

The inception of Evolution Exercise Physiology came from a great need for an improved standard of treatment of sub-acute musculoskeletal injuries. We share a passion for rehabilitating injuries that limit peoples capacity to work or perform their daily activities. Our practitioners are leading the way in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, chronic disease.

Clinical Exercise Physiologist

What exactly is a Clinical exercise physiologist?

Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are the most highly qualified exercise professionals in Australia. AEP’s are nationally accredited 4-year university qualified allied health professionals who specialize in musculoskeletal assessment and the delivery of exercise, lifestyle and behavioural modification programs for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and musculoskeletal injuries.

AEPs provide physical activity, education, self management and behaviour modification advice for clients with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and for clients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, neurological disorders, osteoporosis, arthritis, cancer, COPD, depression, anxiety and many others.

AEPs are internationally recognized as allied health professionals and in Australia are eligible to register with Medicare, Department of Veteran Affairs and with a number of the major private health insurers.  At a state level, AEPs are able to provide services under the various Workers’ Compensation schemes and Compulsory Third Party Insurance schemes.

AEPs are committed to providing outcome focused and individualised exercise and education services to assist in the management of sub-acute and chronic musculo-skeletal injuries, degenerative conditions, chronic pain, chronic diseases and psychological disorders.  We will liaise closely with your doctor and other medical or allied health professionals involved in your treatment to improve your condition as effectively as possible.

AEPs are experts who are able to extensively assess and improve human movement and biomechanics. We develop individualised exercise prescriptions to increase all aspects of physical fitness, strength, endurance, and flexibility – not just rehabilitation. We implement training programs based on research to achieve any goal in the fastest and safest time frame possible.

We design customised exercise programs to meet health care needs and athletic performance goals.

What is the Difference between an EXERCISE Physiologist and a Personal Trainer?

Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are not Personal Trainers. AEPs are allied-health professionals with Medicare Provider numbers and are trained members of the health and medical sector. EP’s have at minimum a 4 year degree and a professional accreditation with Exercise Sports Science Australia.  Fitness professionals (e.g. personal trainers) are members of the sport and recreation sector.

If you are not seeing results as fast as you would like or are experiencing some discomfort when you are training or returning from an injury, we would love to hear from you!
