Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy has been used successfully to treat the following conditions:

Fears - Anxiety - Painful Memories - Trauma - Unwanted Thoughts - Phobias - Self Confidence - Self Esteem - Public Speaking - Anxiety - Stress Management - Weight Release - Quit smoking - Sports Enhancement - Study Enhancement - Relationship Enhancement - Sexual Problems - Pain Management - Insomnia - Anger - Motivation - Nail biting and other habits - Anger management - Psychosomatic reactions - and much much more

What is Hypnosis?

This is a perfectly natural state in which someone's conscious mind is relaxed and their subconscious mind is receptive to making the changes that are needed to live a more fulfilling life.

How does it work?

The Hypnotherapist guides the person being hypnotised to a part of their subconscious mind. Both the therapist and the person being hypnotised interact with that part of the subconscious mind to make the changes that need to be made.

What is it like to be hypnotised?

A lot of people think that they won't remember anything that happens while hypnotised, or that they will be under the control of the Hypnotherapist. None of this is true. Most people remember nearly everything that happens while in hypnosis, and the Hypnotherapist cannot make you do something that conflicts with your current values or belief systems.

What you will feel is a different state of consciousness. Your body will be relaxed and your mind focused and receptive. You may feel like you are in a dreamy state. People generally find being hypnosis a very calming and relaxing experience that they are keen to repeat.

How effective is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is extremely effective and works very quickly in comparison to other forms of therapy. The power of the subconscious mind should not be underestimated. Virtually all of our behaviour, thoughts and feelings are driven by this part of our mind. Hypnosis accesses this part of the mind, the very source of the issue, to make the changes that need to be made.

Alfred A. Barrios, Ph.D. reviewed the overall lasting success of various psychological approaches.

Testimonials

Hi Edward

I wanted to share the great results that I have had in dealing with my fear of flying, which had stopped me flying long distance for many years.

I thought I would give hypnotherapy a go, as I had decided to fly to Europe to meet my daughter, even though I knew that I would have to endure two long flights to get there and two long flights to get back. The thought really scared me. How would I cope if there was bad turbulence? Would it be hour after hour of sheer misery?

Actually, after a couple of treatments from you and some practice on my own at home, I went to the airport calm and relaxed. And the flights were a breeze!

I quietly laughed to myself during the turbulence, while thinking, "I can do this!" All four flights were easy, thanks to your help. After dealing with that, I have now gone on to resume regular weekly exercise and am tackling some other long standing issues in my life.

Thank you again for helping me face and overcome my fear.

Kristine

Morning Edward

Where do I begin?

Thank you just doesn't seem appropriate.

As a regular & heavy-ish smoker, and being a mother of 3 young children, I had concluded
that I was ready to quit smoking once and for all. I was convinced I was ready to quit for
ages and I had tried every nictotine replacement remedy known to the market... hypnotherapy
appeared to be my last resort.

I had tried cold turkey, patches, gum and prescription medication, to name a few.

A friend recommended I see you.

I can't thank my friend enough either.

I attended my first consultation with you early February 2011 and was definately uncertain
on what to expect hence I arrived with an open-mind.

After our first session, I wasn't "cured" and was concerned that hypnotherapy
may have failed. However I perserviered in attending my 2nd (and what would be my final)
session with you.

All I can now say is Oh My Gosh!! It's been 10 weeks and 5 days since my last cigarette.

I haven't experienced cravings, compensated smoking for eating nor even thought of
smoking again - it's as if I've never smoked before in my life and haven't had
an interest to do so. I can still be socialable with my old, smoking friends without the
urge of wanting a cigarette.

Since visiting you and becoming the non-smoker I desperately wanted to be, I've told
anyone and everyone who would listen about my experience. Some have even been to see you
also - and not just for smoking.

As I said earlier; Thank you just doesn't seem appropriate (PS During our 2nd session
you also incorporated some confidence for a job interview; the job I'd been trying to
get for 3 1/2 years - I GOT IT!!) - you've changed my life, you've changed my
families life.

My husband is now ready to attend some sessions with you for the same reason (I will contact
you during the coming week to discuss) and if hypnotherapy can assist my husband, then
I'll be a firm believer that it can make anyone a non-smoker.

What more to say?! Thank You!

Regards

Erin Stevenson

"I contacted Edward a few years ago to trial Hypnotherapy. I had been to traditional counselling services before but I felt I really needed to somehow change my thought patterns to help break my very negative ways I thought of myself after experiencing emotional abuse from a dysfunctional relationship. I meet with Edward and instantly felt at ease, as we went through the motions of starting Hypnotherapy I felt very comfortable telling him some very traumatic experiences and he was always comforting and reassuring. After a few sessions, my thought patterns changed from negative to being much more positive and my confidence grew and today I am different person in the way I handle difficult situations, this I attribute to my Hypnotherapy sessions with Edward, I was shown techniques which I can use to calm myself when I am stressed and one of my goals was to also change from being a non-confrontational person who never stood up for herself to being an assertive person. Many thanks Edward"
