What is Mayan Abdominal Therapy?
Mayan Abdominal Therapy is a non-invasive Massage technique that supports female abdominal, reproductive and pelvic health. Mayan Abdominal Therapy helps the organs to retain or return to their correct position in the abdominal cavity, enhancing the circulation of blood, nerve, lymph and chi.
Mayan Abdominal Therapy also includes work on the pelvic and lower back areas, offering assistance to the sacrum and pelvis, enabling them to function in optimal alignment with the front of the body and organs.
For a range of reasons, including: a fall; back injury; surgery or traumatic birth, the uterus can easily become misaligned. Misalignment can also be due to emotional trauma - sexual abuse and lifestyle factors.
When the uterus is out of alignment, restrictions blocking the venous, arteriole, nerve, lymphatic and chu lel (Mayan for chi) flow to the area occur. When these 5 main flows are blocked, the body becomes unbalanced and problems can result.
This leads to symptoms like painful ovulation, depression, headaches, or any of the following symptoms:
Mayan Abdominal Therapy increases the nerve, blood, lymph and chi flow to the pelvic basin, restoring balance to the area and organs surrounding it. Toxins are flushed from the area and nutrients that help to tone the tissue and balance hormones are restored. This is essential for healthy functioning of both the digestive and reproductive systems.
