How Does Art Therapy Work?

Art Therapy involves using a range of artistic techniques, in order to engage creatively within the therapeutic process. This form of creative therapy is used to develop a more integrated sense of self, with increased self-awareness and acceptance being experienced by the individual. Sessions are suitable enough to be used by people of all ages, with no previous art experience being needed to complete one of these treatments.

NOTE: Art therapy can also be used in conjunction with other therapeutic approaches such as Emotion Focused Therapy and hypnotherapy, or as part of a Holistic Counselling program.
