Cats may be great a giving massages, but we are better (Click here to see a funny video of cats giving massage). We are fully qualified, speak your language, have male & female massage therapists who have extra qualifications in Acupuncture, Myotherapy, Aromatherapy, Shiatsu & Reiki so we are bound to be able to help you. Massage Therapy

Massage is a general term for pressing, stroking, rubbing and manipulating your skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Massage therapists typically use their hands and fingers for massage, but may also use their forearms, elbows and even feet. Massage may range from light stroking to deep pressure.  It can be done on bare skin with oil or through clothing.

There are many different types of massage, including Swedish, Chinese, deep tissue, sports and trigger point massage.  Here at Freedom Chinese Medicine we like to keep things simple and effective, so have made it easy for you by categorising our massage by the outcome you most want:

Remedial = Help fix my.. pain, injury, tension, headaches etc. Our experienced massage therapists will use a variety of remedial techniques, tailored to what will benefit you the most.

Relaxation = Please help relax me, calm my nerves, help me sleep etc.  We'd be happy to. This form of massage is more gentle & soothing.

What if I'm pregnant?  Congratulations!  We can help you too.  Pregnant women often suffer from neck, shoulder, back and hip pain due to hormonal changes and the increasing physical load. Pregnancy massage helps to alleviate tension and pain, relieves headaches, leg cramps, insomnia, fluid retention, stress and fatigue.

Health Maintenance with Massage

Massage is essential maintenance for everyone. Most people wait until they are in pain before they have a massage, thinking it is all about their muscles. However, we know that regular therapeutic massage helps to maintain muscle integrity and posture, provides emotional relief and helps you to manage stress.

To make it easy for you to have regular massage, we provide massage services in our clinic 6 days per week (until 8pm M-F, and all day Saturdays).
