Bloating Tension Healing therapies Weight management Chronic pain Happiness

For many years I lived almost as three separate beings – a physical body, an emotional being and soul. A busy life in the corporate world grew the separation between these three dimensions and I was in pain.

I struggled with weight loss, tightness in my chest, a sore right knee, tight shoulders, bloating and dizziness. I kept reaching out for help and I saw many doctors, therapists, consultants and healers. They were all good but nothing resolved the issues. When the pain didn’t go away or it kept coming back, I started to wonder if there was something else going on. I began to notice how my body was responding when I was stressed, anxious, angry, sad or blissfully happy.

When I realised how my emotions were manifesting in my body, my curiosity wondered if I could explore intimately the language of my body’s shape and function to understand the cause of pain.

When I focus and still my mind, my thoughts and emotions are positively enhancing and my body feels light, happy and well. When I release physical blockages and move my body the way it is designed to move, my mind performs optimally well. It was a process and it still is. When I am in my body, it feels like a mirror is being held before me so that I can see and understand myself.

I am not a registered medical practitioner, and don’t purport to practice any form of medicine. Rather, I apply healing therapies based on neuroscientific principles of bodymind unison. I want to help people connect with themselves and come back to the innate self-intelligence of the bodymind. There is a third dimension to us and that’s the soul or spirit. It’s difficult to quantify or describe, but we each have something unique about us. An energetic part that invigorates our being. When the three are in balance, we can live in the fullest expression of ourselves – physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually.

Each of us is a dynamic system with a constant potential for change in which self-healing is the norm rather than the miraculous. Through the mind, we can heal the body, and through the body, we can heal the mind and return to a natural state of happiness and wellness, which are hardwired on our being. It's a journey and I am here to guide you.

I have been intrigued and inspired by many teachers along the way to which I am eternally grateful. Candace Pert, Ken Dyschtward, Deb Shapiro, Geneen Roth, Dinah Bradley, Lissa Rankin, Tara Judelle, Scott Lyons, Frederic Cherri and my teachers of the intelligent practice of Yoga.

"Free yourself, free others and serve everyday" are the words of Nelson Mandela. They resonate for me.
