Massage Styles

Therapeutic:
Therapeutic Massage promotes natural healing and relaxation through manual manipulation of soft tissue (skin/ muscle/ ligaments/ tendons/ fascia). Massage relieves muscular tension, helps reduce pain, increases circulation, and encourages a fuller range of movement. The measured and steady pace combined with superficial techniques is known to produce a calming influence on the respiratory and nervous systems, lowering stress levels and improving sleep quality.

Remedial:
Remedial Massage is a restorative therapy that combines deep tissue massage and sports massage for the treatment of muscular dysfunction. Deep tissue techniques can be used to prevent injury, enhance sporting performance, and for rehabilitation. The firmer pressure and more rapid pace combined with trigger point therapy, myofascial release, tapotement and stretching, make this a dynamic and stimulating form of massage. Remedial is effective treatment for common health concerns such as: neck/ shoulder pain, low back pain, headaches, arthritis, whiplash, muscular cramps, scar tissue damage, postural limitations, and chronic aches and pains.
