With a strong commitment to high-quality care and professional expertise, GRC can offer a sensible approach to improve your holistic health. With more than 8 years of experience, our Exercise Physiologists can provide thorough assessment after listening to your problems. We will work with you to set goals and develop an effective treatment plan taking into account of your lifestyle, general health, leisure activities and expectations.

Our Centre is a gathering place for those seeking a healthier, happier lifestyle and those who want to make the most of their ‘today’.

Our team will educate, motivate and support you on your journey to improved health and wellness. We provide a holistic care approach for all clients assisting you through increasing physical activity levels, altering healthy lifestyle behavioural changes and supporting you through your injuries.

The first thing you will notice upon entering the clinic is the warm nature of all our staff, making the journey to recovery just that little bit less painful.

Meet the Team


James Tantau
Director / Exercise Physiologist

James founded Geelong Rehabilitation Centre due to the lack of centres within the Eastern suburbs of Geelong.

James is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with ESSA membership enabling him to liaise and work collaboratively with doctors and health insurance providers to deliver the best care in Geelong.

James has been in practice as an Exercise Physiologist for many years and has the expertise to help you achieve the goals you are looking to complete.

James uses a whole body approach with his treatment plans and believes that mind and body need to work in conjunction with each other in order to achieve optimal results.

With years of experience specialising with Type Two Diabetes Management, James uses a gentle and motivating approach with his guidance and will be able to help reduce your blood glucose readings and get you on track to wellness.

Maggie Bradley
Dietician

Maggie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who is passionate about empowering individuals with the knowledge to improve their health and wellbeing.

Maggie works closely with clients to develop individual and realistic goals, whilst providing current evidence-based advice to assist in improving management of medical conditions and overall health.

Maggie has experience in (but not limited to) weight management, diabetes, malnutrition, reflux, cardiovascular diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, oncology, sports nutrition, mindful eating & healthy eating advice.

Maggie has completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutrition and Exercise Science), Masters of Human Nutrition and Masters of Dietetics.

Maggie is committed to providing ongoing encouragement and support to assist clients to develop long-term health behaviour changes & achieve their health goals.

Jacquie Broderick
Manager / Exercise Physiologist

Jacquie is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with an enthusiastic and positive approach to client health care. With the most recent high standard of knowledge and practical skills, Jacquie can provide you with the education and individualised treatment approach to target your goals.



Jacquie’s primary role is to conduct our group sessions specifically tailored to assist with Type Two Diabetes Management and Falls prevention. As well as completing one on one individual treatment plans.

Jacquie’s passion lies in all aspects of rehabilitation, with a particular interest in neurological cases.

Jacquie’s skill set as an Exercise Physiologist allows her to not only understand a broad range of conditions but also to accurately treat complex injuries and/or illnesses allowing for an improvement in a client’s overall quality of life and sense of wellbeing.

With excellent treatment and a friendly, personal approach, Jacquie can ensure that your time at Geelong Rehabilitation Centre is not only beneficial but enjoyable!

Chantelle Barnett
Exercise Physiologist

Chantelle is a highly motivated and bubbly Accredited Exercise Physiologist who has worked in an array of rehabilitation settings over the last 3 years through regional Victoria.

She is a strong believer in 'being the best you can be' and prides herself on enhancing each clients skill set towards their self-management and achieving their goals.

It is an important aspect of Chantelle's treatment that each client is empowered to make positive changes to their lifestyle and to be provided with education, hope and support to achieve a greater sense of their own dignity.

Chantelle likes to lead by example in practising what she preaches; focusing on her own physical development with weight training, aerial gymnastics and going on the odd thrill-seeking holiday in her spare time.

Call it the teams little pocket motivator, Chantelle aims to be there every step of the way in your rehabilitation journey.

Milly Cowell
Exercise Physiologist

Milly is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a passion for helping individuals reach their full potential. Milly completed both her Bachelor and Post Graduate studies at Federation University.

In order to be successful with her programming, Milly believes in a holistic approach that is tailored to the development of the individual. Her main objectives when treating clients are to provide them with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead independent physically active lifestyles, centred around self-management of conditions. Milly has a passion for the positive growth of the individual and improving qualities of life.

Milly is very physically active herself and in her spare time loves to run and cycle. She wants to motivate and lead by example when it comes to being physically active. Milly brings a very positive attitude and an open mind to the team, as well as a high up to date clinical skill set.

Alana Povey
Admin / Reception Manager

Alana joined our team as a head receptionist in December 2016 after returning from an overseas adventure. She has a background in finance and hospitality and a passion for travelling.

Alana is one of two friendly reception staff who is always happy and willing to assist you with any questions you may have in relation to the Centre or in relation to your referral.

Jenna Hamilton
Receptionist

Jenna joined our team as a head receptionist in December 2016 after returning from an overseas adventure. She has a background in finance and hospitality and a passion for travelling.

Jenna is one of two friendly reception staff who is always happy and willing to assist you with any questions you may have in relation to the Centre or in relation to your referral.

Stephanie Mallet
Podiatrist

Stephanie graduated from Latrobe University, Bundoora in 2009 with a Bachelor of Podiatry. After growing up in the Geelong area and having family based locally, she was committed to continuing her professional career and life in Geelong.

She prides herself on delivering proven Podiatry treatment options for all members of the community. She aims to utilise the latest clinically proven management plans to benefit each individual client.

Stephanie specialises in Diabetes Foot Care management and encourages a multidisciplinary care approach in combination with general practitioners and all allied health services.

She has been working in the Geelong area for over 6 years and has extensive experience in biomechanical orthomechanical devices and chronic heel pain.
