The work Reiki is made up of two works - Rei meaning 'God's wisdom ot the Higher Power' and Ki meaning 'Life Force Energy'. So together  Reiki is 'Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy'.

It is a simple, natural and perfectly safe method of spiritual healing. No only that, but is also an effective way to help us all become more aware, be more in-tune, gain insight, wisdom and aid our personal growth.

Our bodies respond to the bio-magnetic frequencies of healing (lower frequecies for the bones and higher frequencies for our blood and thoughts) as magneto cardiograms and magneto encephalograms have shown us. Reiki frequencies have been measured at higher than normal rates (7-10Hz in the Theta and Alpha range). 

A Reiki session will produce feelings of inner peace, contentment, relaxation, along with decreased feelings of fear, overwhelm, and anxiety.

In a session the practitioner places theire hands on or above the client. Universal energy is directed through their arms and hands to wherever healing needs to take place within the client. A gentle pulsing is somethimes felt, and many people experience images, sensations, and colours throughout their session.

It is a wonderful adjunct to any therapy, healing or crisis. If you have never had a Reiki session, I encourage you to take some time for yourself and feel the benefits of this wonderful modality.  If you have had one you will instinctlively know the incredible level of healing that can take place during a session.
