What happens during a Homeopathic consultation?
An initial consultation takes around an hour and a half. During this time, I take a detailed case history, taking into account not just any physical symptoms you may have, but also your emotional and mental state, personal history, family history and so on. A detailed understanding of who you are enables me to form a clear picture of you before prescribing your remedy. Of course, anything you say is held in the strictest confidence.

When can I expect to see results?
After taking your remedy, you may begin to notice some changes. For many people, this is almost immediate; for others, the effects take a little longer to appear, up to several days or even weeks. Homeopathy cures from the inside out, so often the outer symptoms (e.g. a skin complaint) are the last to clear. If this is the case, it is important to try to be patient, as it is much better for you in the long term to be cured of both your illness and its symptoms, than simply to have your symptoms suppressed.

What happens once my treatment starts?
Some patients experience a general sense of wellbeing almost immediately after taking their remedy. Symptoms may improve straight away, allowing for an immediate improvement in quality of life. Occasionally, symptoms can appear to worsen for a short period of time. This is actually a good sign that the remedy is having an effect. Sometimes you might experience a cold, a rash, or a discharge, as your body embarks upon a “spring cleaning”. This will soon pass, however and is part of the healing process. What are Homeopathic remedies made from?
Homeopathic remedies are made entirely from natural substances, including plants, minerals and animal products.

How do I take my remedy?
Homeopathic remedies are prescribed either in pillule (very small, sugar-tasting pills) or liquid form and are to be taken in a variety of ways. You will be given comprehensive instructions on how to take your remedy. Are there any side effects from the remedies?
No. Homeopathy does not carry the risk of side effects so common to modern Western medicine. The remedies are also non-toxic, natural, non-addictive and are not tested on animals.

Is Homeopathy suitable for babies?
Yes. Homeopathy is wonderfully effective for babies, as it is for people of all ages. Babies generally respond very quickly to Homeopathic treatment. There are many remedies which can help the pains of colic, or teething, nappy rash, eczema, reflux, sleep disorders and other potentially challenging symptoms. You will need to consult a trained and qualified Homeopath if you require treatment for your baby.

How often will I need to come?
Generally, I find that appointments every 5 -6 weeks work well, however this is entirely up to you. Once your symptoms have subsided and your health has improved, you may find that you only need to make an appointment once every few months, or even less frequently.
