What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese and holistic form of therapy. It is a safe and gentle form of drug free healing that has its own unique system of disease identification and diagnosis. More than 2000 years ago, Chinese medical writings described the acupuncture channels as transporting energy around and through the whole body. This energy was called qi. Qi is known as something that is specific to certain locations, known as acupuncture points, which lie amongst these channels.

Traditional acupuncturists believe that gentle stimulation of precise acupuncture points, when applied on the basis of correct diagnosis, will assist the body’s innate healing mechanisms and healing systems and thus on the whole promoting positive wellbeing and health.

How can you benefit from acupuncture?
