In fact they are in full control and can terminate a session at any stage. Clients remember nearly everything that happens while in hypnosis, and the therapist can’t make them do something that conflicts with their values and beliefs. Hypnosis is not sleep. It is an awake state.
As your body relaxes and your mind becomes focused and receptive, you may feel like you are in a day dream state, similar to falling off to sleep or waking. Some people feel light as a feather and others say the feel so relaxed like they have never felt before. People generally feel very calm and enjoy the feeling of deep relaxation.
Can anyone be Hypnotised?
Nearly everyone with an average IQ or higher can be hypnotised if they desire to be. Hypnosis is a natural and normal everyday state.
Is it safe?
Yes, hypnosis is safe. You can’t get stuck in hypnosis and you are not under a spell, you can terminate a session at any point.
