What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique conducted while you are in a deep state of relaxation. The majority of our behaviours, thoughts and emotions are driven by our subconscious. Hypnotherapy accesses the subconscious, accessing the root cause of any issues, thus enabling you to bring about positive and lasting change in your life. Hypnotherapy is an efficient form of therapy and able to help with a vast array of conditions.


Is hypnotherapy safe?

Being under hypnosis is entirely safe - it's a natural state of mind experienced by all of us several times a day. Hypnosis is safe enough to be used with children.


How many sessions will I need?

Behaviour changes take three weeks to become permanent therefore hypnotherapy works on a minimum of three sessions. Hypnotherapy successfully works in a range of situations and is the most rapid form of therapy available. With the help of Hypnosis you can bring about change much faster than you think. The number of sessions you need will ultimately depend on your mindset, the problem you're working on and the speed at which you respond to change.


How long are the hypnotherapy sessions?

The first session is usually 1½ hours and following sessions have a duration of around 1 hour. Sessions are usually held weekly.


Can I claim through Medicare or my private health fund?

Some private health funds will refund a portion of your costs. Please get in touch with your fund for more information. Medicare doesn't cover clinical hypnotherapy.
