Alison is a graduate of Mind-Body Medicine, Holistic Counselling, Flower Essence Therapy and Massage Therapy from Endeavour College. She draws on her life experiences, and over a decade in the practice of yoga. A graduate of Gita International Yoga, Alison teaches hatha yoga, and is a trained facilitator of relaxation, meditation, breathing techniques and philosophy.

About Alison Corsie

Personal life experiences and my chosen field of work constantly supports my faith in humankind's boundless capacity for regeneration and I feel humbled by the resilience of the human body, mind and spirit.

Through my work as a Mind Body Medicine practitioner, a Yoga teacher and massage therapist, I have drawn together the healing principles of touch, nurture and nature that these modalities offer, and I am rewarded again and again with clients who find these techniques life changing.

Our health, though it can take us decades to appreciate it, governs our ability to live life fully. So many of us take good health and a vibrant connection to life for granted until one day we might be rendered utterly miserable by our lack of it through physical incapacity or personal trauma.

Whether that chosen pathway is physical movement, mental exploration or general education, finding those individual steps to freedom lie in our very own hands, sometimes with someone walking beside you for a period of time.



Mind Body Medicine

MIND-BODY MEDICINE - assists with understanding and transforming health, relationships and reactions to life challenges.

Mind-Body Medicine is a unique scientifically based healing modality that incorporates Western, Eastern and Indigenous sciences, in an explorative journey, using a variety techniques and tools to help you explore the factors that drive your patterns, beliefs and reactions to life and its challenges.

Medical science recognises that your personal well-being is the antidote to any ailment or stressor, and that stress and negative thought patterns can alter body chemistry, thereby affecting personal health and vitality.

It is not your genes that determine your health, but the factors/reactions that switch those genes ON & OFF

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE MASSAGE

A light and gentle form of body work designed to decongest and enhance the flow of the body’s lymphatic fluid, so it can be neutralised and eliminated from the body.
It is non-intrusive and non-mechanical and works in perfect adjunct with Swedish massage.

Excellent for: Lymphoedema, toxicity and to aid relaxation.

And also: fluid retention during pregnancy, pre and post operative, preventative health, acute inflammation, sporting injuries, headaches, migraines, depression, stress, anxiety and more.



Yoga

This age old practice has been developed as a unique series of postures that are specifically designed for modern day busy people. Regular students become familiar with the routine - which offers variations to suit all body types - making it easier to practice at home.

The sequence directly impacts on the health and balance of the mind, the body adn the empotional centre by working on the brain, the nervous systems, the endocrine systems - hormonal centres - and the breath.

A class typically includes stretching, breathing, relaxation and posture work.

Yoga benefits people of all ages and ability levels, whether you wish to:
