What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is often described as maintaining a moment-to-moment, non-judgmental awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and environment. Thousands of studies have documented the physical and mental health benefits of practicing mindfulness.
Studies show the average person spends around 47% of their day in thought. A significant amount of this thinking is not required and is due to ‘mind wandering’. Mind wandering can be a source of negativity and stress.*

Do your thoughts and emotions ever control you?
Do you find it difficult to focus on/ see the positives in life?
Would you like to develop a better relationship with your thoughts and emotions? Would you like a calmer, healthier mind?

What is Supervision?
Clinical supervision is used in social work, counselling, and other allied health professions engaged in helping people. Professional supervision is a positive process that offers the opportunity to analyse and reflect on practice; ensuring competent and accountable practice. Supervision aims to improve practice skills, and increase the supervisee’s understanding of professional, ethical, and clinical issues. Clinical supervision ensures professional standards are maintained, and provides ongoing professional development and support.
Supervision ensures professionals have ongoing support and development. Employees working within helping professions often experience high rates of burn-out and stress. This can lead to ‘compassion fatigue’ and other work related issues.
