Dru Yoga
Breathe, Flow and unwind - I bend so that I don't break!

I teach a gentle yet uplifting, flowing style of yoga that is designed to be enjoyed by all ages & all fitness levels. I like to weave a gentle flow of movement, breathing, positive inspiration and relaxation through the classes I teach. With an emphasis on improving flexibility, spinal mobility, core strength and postural habits...... as well as connecting the mind and body through deep breathing and relaxation.

Gently allowing the mind, body and heart to come back into a natural healthy balance. In our fast modem life we often don’t give ourselves permission to just be, breathe, feel and enjoy the moment yet doing so in a yoga class can bring about such comfort and darity. I aim to give you this space - so that you can bounce forward with health, vitality, strength, courage, integrity and balance.
In my experience Dru yoga has nurtured, empowered and inspired me to be the best possible me I can be and I hope that this has a flow on effect to my students!

Dru Yoga is a graceful and potent form of yoga, based on soft flowing movements, directed breathing and visualisation. With its foundations set firmly in ancient yogic tradition, Dru works on body, mind and spirit improving strength and flexibility, creating core stability, building a heightened feeling of positivity, and deeply relaxing and rejuvenating your whole being.

Designed to be practised by people of all abilities, all fitness levels and all age groups. The word Dru comes from the Sanksrit dhruva which means ‘perpetual stillness’. The aim of Dru Yoga is to help people to find a point of stillness inside themselves that remains constant throughout the ups and downs of life. Known also as the “yoga of the heart”, many of Dru’s postures and sequences are designed to stimulate the nadis (energy pathways) around the heart centre.

Kids Yoga
Kids are already flexible and active by nature. Why kids yoga?

Yoga engages a child’s natural boundless energy and conveys valuable lessons in positive thinking and well being through a non competitive physical activity. Yoga is a wonderful way for children to increase their health, balance and sense of self.

The kids yoga classes I teach are a fusion of Dru yoga and Rainbow kids yoga styles which is a nice recipe and balance of crazy super fun and flowing restoration of body, mind and heart.

I believe kids learn best when they are having fun! So each class is alive with magical journeys where we meet animals, fly an airplane or drive a car, grow into a tree, imitate the waves of the ocean all in the form of dynamic yoga poses. Including music, props, games, stories, relaxation, meditation, mandala drawing and more....

In a class I aim to nurture kids true essence and give them a chance to shine. While also nurturing their sense of creativity and imagination, helping them form a sense of self respect and gratitude for being on this planet. I love kids they are an inspiration - to nurture their inherent nature while teaching them yoga is an absolute joy for me.
