Institute of Sports and Spines is located at 1566 Wynnum Road Tingalpa QLD 4173. The facility is aimed at combining the ability to conduct performance testing with clinical treatment and management as well as rehabilitation and training programs for both the athlete and general public.

Institute of Sports and Spines has one of the most comprehensive analysis protocols in the country. A comprehensive and systematic physical examination will assess your current condition, benchmark where you are at present and plan where you want to be. Your goals are our goals. Services provided include; Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Remedial Massage, gait analysis, sports performance testing, video bike fitting, video gait analysis, rehabilitation program development (pre and post operative).

Remedial Massage

When muscles and tendons become damaged or impaired; knotted, tense or immobile, Remedial Massage helps to free up shortened tissues and restore the muscles to their healthy resting length.

Remedial massage combines a number of different techniques including; massage, trigger points, myofascial release and lymphatic drainage techniques to work on damaged or sore muscles, soft tissue or joints.

Exercise Physiology

Accredited exercise physiologists (AEPs) are allied health professionals who specialise in the delivery of exercise for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and injuries. AEPs provide support for clients with conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, mental health problems, cancer, arthritis, pulmonary disease and more. AEPs are eligible to register with Medicare Australia, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and WorkCover and are recognised by most private health insurers.

Chiropractic

Focusing on the relationship between structure (primarily the spine) and function (as coordinated by the nervous system) that affects your health. We use a variety of techniques, depending on your individual’s requirements, to achieve an overall goal that resolves symptoms, retrains altered movement patterns, and prevents recurrence.

Acupuncture

The use of Acupuncture has a long history spanning over 2000 years in China and Japan. Since the 1970’s it has becoming increasingly utilized in the west in the management of a variety of health conditions and in the treatment of pain, stiffness and traumatic injuries. It has seen special interest in the treatment of chronic pain conditions and functional organ disturbances that are notoriously difficult to treat with conventional methods.
